Alexander Casimiro is currently a "Bachelor of Arts in Music" major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he also minors in Information Technologies. He performed in the UMass Minuteman Marching Band during the '05-'08 seasons, and served as the section leader of the UMass Drumline from '06-'08. Having graduated from the marching band, Alex now fills a TA role for the drumline. Alex is also the current arranger and instructor for the drumline at Six Flags New England, and the drummer for the rock band Jen Tobey's Alter-Ego.
Alex has performed with numerous marching ensembles including the Silver Knights (’01-’02), the Targets (’03), the Spartans (‘04-’05), the Boston University Winter Percussion Ensemble (’05), the Madison Scouts (’06), the Six Flags New England Drumline (’07), and the Cadets (’08-'09). He has performed at various special events including George W. Bush’s 2005 Inaugural Parade, the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl ring ceremony, Craig Mello’s Nobel Prize Banquet, and A Night with the Boston Pops.
